Jeannene Christie’s Autism Outreach Service

Jeannene is certified by the Autism Treatment Center of America to provide Son-Rise Program Child Facilitator Outreaches. She mostly works in Canada and the United States; however she also offers this service to families around the world. She is keen to increase awareness of the Son-Rise Program and support as many families as she can.

Jeannene travels to families homes and works with special children in their playrooms. She assesses children’s development and works on their challenges using their strengths and motivations. Outreaches are typically 6 hours per day and vary from 1 - 3 days or more.

During an Outreach, Jeannene will be with your child in the playroom for 2.5 hours in the morning and again for 2.5 hours in the afternoon. Your Son-Rise Program team will be able to watch Jeannene and videotape her (through the observation window) as she applies the Son-Rise Program principles specifically to your child. During the Outreach there will also be time for questions and answers, discussion of goals and brainstorming activities to do with your child.

Using her acquired knowledge from 10 years of autism education and experience (e.g. Psychology, Positive Behavior Support, Son-Rise), Jeannene also provides Coaching to parents and other team members:

• She observes team members work with your child, celebrate their strengths, offer suggestions and explain concepts (e.g. stimulus / belief / response) based on her observations
• She offers strategies to help make daily life, learning and relating easier and more enjoyable
• Jeannene's Coaching is fun and lighthearted, builds rapport, encourages openness and helps people move in a positive direction to be more effective with your child
• Jeannene can do Coaching during Outreaches and over the phone using video

For families in the Calgary area:

• Jeannene is available for home consultations and demonstrations by the hour
• While it is not essential to have a playroom, it is beneficial that Jeannene works with your child in a quiet and non-distracting environment.

Outreach Rate (6 hours per day): $500.00 (plus expenses for travel, accommodations, and meals)

Hourly Rate: $75 (for 12+ hours per month on a regular basis) - $100 (for 1-2 hours per month)
